That'd be one approach, and would be interesting / maybe worthwhile.
What's already been done, ie. requesting people to submit feature
requests/suggestions for 2.3, is largely intended to do the same thing,
but the popularity numbers would be good to have.  I don't think the
features in this particular thread are in question, but the best means
to achieve them, which I'd think is probably better left to
discussion/experience than popular vote (which might tend towards voting
for the latest buzzwords).
