I'm in contact now with Gilles LAMIRAL, the author of imapsync, having reported all the pain I see with imapsync from cyrus to dbmail. For one problem, I send you part of our conversation:

I've had 2.2.1 with that error, but don't see it anymore. I'd like to confirm the problem is gone now.
