Guys, im sure someone knows this, in msoutlook 2003, how do i make sent items
to stay saves in my sent items folder in the imap profile that i settup?

  Jorge

You don't. At least not easily or reliably.

It's a royal PITA. There are two ways to go about it.

One, (more reliable) is to use your SMTP program (hopefully Postfix) to BCC
sent emails back to your own account and then use sieve-scripts to put the
messages in the "sent" folder. Then you'll have to find a way to mark them as
"read".

The other (and not reliable) way is to set up rules in Outlook to move the
sent messages into the sent folder. This has proven to be extraordinarily
unreliable.

Microsoft Outlook prior to OL2007 is hopelessly screwed-up when it comes to
handling IMAP servers. It seems that MS only wants you to have that
functionality if you're using Exchange (which doesn't handle it right, either,
AFAIK).

However, I will vouch for OL2007 as handling that sort of thing correctly.
