dbmail-util will only add to the query cache, I don't believe it removes stale entries. To do that, delete everything from the cache tables and run dbmail-util -ay to rebuild them. It might actually be useful to add another flag to dbmail-util to do this for you -- a sort of 'rebuild everything from scratch' option.
