Hi, i have a client that receive a lot of emails with attachment, and
the number of messages a the size is not a problem.  Most of the time
the problem is the speed of the disks.  Just use a separated database
server, be it mysql or postgres, and if needed, add more server for
just running dbmail ( pop3/imap/smtp). I think that's the best way to
scale well ( at this moment).
