No need. I've just uploaded 2.2.6-2 which is 2.2.6 minus the breakage.
I'll release 2.2.7-rc1 later today which will be the exact same package, but
with a bumped version.
If that works out ok, I'll release 2.2.7 in exactly one week. This time there
will be *no* changes between the last rc package and the final version (just
like there shouldn't have been between rc2 and 2.2.6-final).

Ai. Don't run 2.2.6-final, but downgrade to 2.2.6-rc2
That *will* solve your problem.
