Hi,
I'm planning an upgrade from version 2.0 to 2.2, but due to the size
of our MySQL dbmail database and the downtime involved, I like to
split up the upgrade.
I did copy the MySQL database (InnoDB and around 100 Gb in size) to
test the upgrade and I noticed that the change from LONGTEXT to
LONGBLOB in the dbmail_messageblks table took almost 6 hours to
complete. And the dbmail-util -by around 2 hours. Which makes it
almost impossible to perform the upgrade during normal service windows.
So can I change the LONGTEXT to LONGBLOB in the current 2.0 setup
without upgrading to 2.2 directly? Or does 2.0 rely on the LONGTEXT?
The other database changes will be made before I run the dbmail-util
command.
Thanks is advance!
Erwin
