Really! Jesse's reply was to the point. The error message you mentioned
was sometimes triggered by malformed addresses in messages. Iirc, Aaron
fixed a couple of problem spots in libsieve, and he removed the error
message (which in itself was causing more confusion than the underlying
problem: libsieve handling malformed addresses).

So: upgrade to dbmail-2.2.8 and libsieve-2.2.6
