Well, I read through monty´s blog post and yes it doesn´t seems to be adviseable using MySQL 5.1 at the moment.
Nevertheless I did migrate one of our MySQL boxes to 5.1 and for now it seems to work fine:

The box does run dbmail 2.2.10 and some other things and as you see it does around 15 to 17000
queries per second in prime time. As Monty suggested I have not yet played around with new features,
like partitioning etc. and I am currently not using replication on that box, but if that one runs fine for
the next week I wil try to migrate one of my replication setups to 5.1 and see how that goes.

I will keep you posted...

greetings,
Daniel
