It > could be made more flexible but I don't know that it's worth the effort > at this point. same username,password,database is enough since mysql-slaves does fit this criterica and non-slave-fallbacks have to be configured the right way important is to specify a port since as example on our backup-machine the slaves runs on port 3307 because on 3306 is living a second mysqld with the full configuration and services using a weekly snapshot backup it think a commandline-option "--fallback-servers=host1:3306,host2:3307.." would be enough and all other data from the main-dbmail-config, set this param can be done by the init-script reading a /etc/sysconfig/policyd-file thank you for your great work!
