MariaDB is using Percona/XtraDB and from the point of MySQL
currently 5.5 but with a lot from 5.6 backported, currently
most linux distributions switch to MariaDB and at least with
RHEL7 doing the switch also "Oracle MySQL" will start to
become meaningless over the long

i have scheduled the switch to MariaDB in production for 2013/11/01
while my development-machines and personal servers are since some
months migrated to my own source-build for Fedora 18, the upstream
switch was done with Fedora 19, but i am at finish F18-upgrades

* Includes XtraDB from Percona Server-5.5.32-rel31.0

* As long as XtraDB is used, MariaDB 5.5.32 is not affected by MySQL
