I will try dbmail-3.1.3
there was no LMTP specific fix
nor did i ever
see a lmtp-protocol error and i am at dbmail
with LMTP since 2009 for production
Thats wrong check your own mail from 30.07.2013 ;-)
but this Problem was fixed in 3.1.2
