overkill?? Explicit is always better than implicit.
I prefer patches generated with 'git format-patch', or pull requests
from a private git branch.
I don't maintain most of the stuff below contrib. And since there is no
way I'm testing init scripts other than debian/centos, I'm not even
going to try to maintain the gentoo version.
hmm then I have to read the git docs again since I don't use git much ^^
anyway not asking you to maintain the gentoo scripts. I can also just
put them into
portage if you prefer that to your contrib directory.
anyway lemme read up on git then when I get a chance ^^
