Paul
Out of "idle" curiosity when I run a query on the views I get multiple
rows with the same physmessage_id which strikes me as peculiar but may
be expected.
e.g.
SELECT * FROM dbmail_subjectfield order by physmessage_id desc limit 100
1458790
1458789
1458788
1458787
1458786
1458785
1458784
1458783
1458782
1458782
1458781
1458780
1458780
1458779
1458778
1458778
1458777
.....
(subjects removed, but take it from me that the physmessage_id which
repeat have identical subjects).
I will send some source messages to you directly shortly.
I tried to go down to 3.0.2 in a hurry but because of the upgrades to
various ports I had to carry out to install gmime 26 my 3.0.2
installation fails due to linked library issues. Because no one using
Thunderbird/webmail (vast majority of users) have noticed anything other
than the subject line missing I can't justify extended downtime during
the week to sort it out.

Damn, I thought that one was fixed in 3.1.3 :-(
* I have noticed there are a great many duplicate entries in the
dbmail_subjectfield or dbmail_datefield views. I don't know if this
is an
issue at all or if it's related to the above.
Can you please explain?
* Messages appearing garbled in Outlook (several) or Thunderbird (1).
An
example message reads "working on this case for the last four =ears
will
shortly do the necessary; for he is an honest and honourable man =nd
knows
that you did all you could to help us win this =ase". In either
Thunderbird
or Roundcube the message shows the correct letters but not Outlook.
Ai. I am aware of this, and have been working hard to track down and
fix
this. Good news is that you mention it is easy to reproduce in Outlook.
I haven't seen this myself, but have been working with an avid tester
to
get this fixed.
As I typed this another one came in with the entire message
(definitely
written in English) came out "27 August =013 , NAME. Time sheet
=ttached
NAME" in Outlook but it's fine in Roundcube.
If you could send me such a broken message as-is (forward as
attachment,
or save the full message source and send it zipped), I would very much
appreciate it. I can use that to validate my hypothesis as to where
this
originates. Also, please mention your gmime version, because I'm not
entirely sure this is not gmime related.
That said I have seen one message which shows "/" when viewed in
Thunderbird
(correct) but "1/4" (the symbol) when shown in Roundcube and Outlook.
Same here. The message source is your friend.
As you can imagine I'm quite concerned by the corrupted message in
Outlook
2007; unfortunately I use the Freebsd ports system to upgrade the
server and
I forgot to backup the dbmail 3.0.2 files so I can't easily to back.
I'm also very uncomfortable with what appears to be stack corruption.
Very much on it.
I'll start doing some tests with Outlook and see if I can hopefully
reproduce this myself.
