Glad to hear it was a user error, and not some unknown gremlin in the
dbmail code.

Still, I wouldn't use dbmail-administrator on a production machine,
ever! As far as I know Mike hasn't updated the code since early
dbmail-2.0. So no telling what it might do to a 3.x data schema.

That is to be expected. Every time messages get deleted, the mimeparts
are left in the database since they are not referenced by any key
restraints. Only when dbmail-util is run, are unconnected mimeparts
garbage collected.
