Reindl, Yes, but that's not related I can guarantee, I had silimilar problems in the past (<2007) not just with lmtpd, but with clamproxy. Not saying that I meanwhile receive an email with the null char and hit the problem, Ok one thing I forgot to change in my upgrade from 2.3.7~ was the max_db_connections, just adjusted it to 10, had it in 90 :) Let see if it helps in anything. Anyway till now, imapd and pop3d seems to behave well, only lmtpd and timsieved seems to had some issue.
