Hi, I checked to see if there is an official DBpedia irc channel but couldn't find one. I think it would be helpful to have a #dbpedia IRC channel on Freenode. It's a good way to organize our geographically dispersed community, asside from mail-lists, telcos and workshops. It would also help the GSoC students that will need a lot of support and feedback from us, also it might help us coordinate with wikimedia, which uses irc channels on Freenode extensively.
