Hi Michelantonio,

DBpedia is hosted in the OpenLink Virtuoso Universal Server [1] for which their is a Virtuoso Jena Data Provider [2] that can be used to query RDF Data stored in Virtuoso using SPARQL/SPASQL/SPARUL.

The current live DBpedia instance [3] is only accessible via its HTTP SPARQL endpoint [4] whereas the Virtuoso Jena Data Provider connects for its SQL Data port, thus you would have to setup your own DBpedia instance for it to be accessible via the Virtuoso Jena Data Provider. This can be done by either:

1. Starting your own DBpedia EC2 AMI instance in the cloud as detailed at [5] 2. Installing your own Virtuoso instance locally and loading the DBpedia datasets with the installer archive we provide [6]

I hope this answers your question, or certainly gives you options to look into ...

Best Regards
Hugh Williams

Hi,

I'm a new dbpedia user.
I'd like to know if it's possible to make a sparql query with
Jena to dbpedia.
And if it is possible, how can i do it?
I'm trying to make query using ng4j library, I'm following
the example at this page http://www4.wiwiss.fu-berlin.de/bizer/ng4j/ semwebclient/index.html#using, but i have no results.
Thanks in advance.
