Hi :-) Well actually I am not one person of the dbpedia team, but what would make sense, also to improve the souce where dbpedia data comes from, is the creation of a stub on the English wikipedia (translation of the first paragraph normally is a good way to get this) and linking the two. This will improve both projects and since we take, why not also give?
I know you would probably like to see this solved just by software, but I see it as a valid workaround which would provide additional value for all.
