I think the DBpedia developers won't be against this, and neither will the
DBpedia community. My guess is that it hasn't been done because it requires
work that the team has not yet found time to do.

So if all the requirements are in place (1), and you know how to do it,
maybe you can go ahead and make this contribution to the DBpedia community.
