DBpedia 3.7 has the property: <http://dbpedia.org/property/dateOfBirth> .
LOD Cloud Cache: <http://dbpedia.org/ontology/birthDate> .

Anyway, concerning to the short answer, if I ask a similar query on both
endpoint, I get some results in both cases:

And if I go to http://dbpedia.org/page/Jack_Manack, I can see both
dbpedia-owl:birthDate and dbpprop:dateOfBirth.
Again, if I try the following query on both endpoints, I get some
results on lod.openlinksw.com/sparql and no results on dbpedia.org/sparql:
