Hi Chryssa, Which/whose Virtuoso open source release are you using ie did you download, compile and build from source code or are you installing binary packages that are part of your Linux distro ? I suspect the latter for which the “isql” command tends to be called “isql-v” (as there is already a binary called “isql” that preceded it) and resides in /usr/sbin , and would probably be a release 6.1.3 build rather than the latest 6.1.4 we would recommend by building from source (although 6.1.3 will still work).
