Hi Chris, hi all,

maybe the PARIS page is misleading. We have the following downloads
for mappings between YAGO and DBpedia:

1. Instances
1.1.: The trivial mappings that go just by URL. These are 100%
correct, are available on the YAGO Website, and we sent them to you.
These are the ones we should use, and the one Kingsley loaded.

Meaning both versions of our LOD cloud cache instance.

1.2.: The mappings that PARIS computed. These are inaccurate, and
provided mainly for other matching systems to compare themselves.

2. Classes
2.1. The trivial mappings between YAGO classes and the YAGO class
hierarchy in DBpedia. These are 100% accurate, are available on the
YAGO Website, and we sent them to you. These are the ones we should
use, and the one Kingsley loaded.
2.2. The non-trivial mappings between YAGO classes and the manual
DBpedia class hierarchy. These are computed by PARIS and are not 100%
accurate. However, they're maybe useful. We provide the data as raw
data and at 60% precision cut-off. Kingsley loaded these.

Ditto re. LOD cloud cache instances.

3. Relations
We provide the mappings between YAGO relations and the manually
crafted relations of the DBpedia ontology. These are the first of
their kind, and also of reasonable good quality. Kingsley loaded
these.

Fabian: I assume this is also part of the datasets we loaded into the LOD cloud cache prior to your post about Paris? Basically, all part of the datasets we loaded that were verified by you?

Kingsley

Does that clarify things a bit?

Thanks

Fabian

Hi Fabian,

thank you very much for pointing us at the new YAGO/DBpedia links.

Christopher is currently working on a new DBpedia release and once this is
ready, we will load the new YAGO/DBpedia links into the our public DBpedia
instance.

You provide two downloads:

DBpedia-YAGO2 individual entity links (27Mb)
DBpedia-YAGO2 class links (4Mb)

and say on the Paris page that you expect the instance links to have 100%
accuracy and the class links 60% accuracy.

Would you thus think that it is better for us to load the new 60% accuracy
class links or keep loading the old YAGO/DBpedia class links that you have send
us a year or so ago?

B.t.w, Paris seems to be a very cool tool :-)

Cheers,

Chris

classes

Dear DBpedia team,

we have recently made some progress mapping YAGO and DBpedia relations
and mapping YAGO and DBpedia classes. The results of our efforts are
here: http://webdam.inria.fr/paris/ (scroll to the bottom)

Thanks
