Hello,

First, thank you for the great effort to make DBpedia available and improve it continuously.

I would like to inform you that I used DBpedia as an example showing the benefits of Hypernotation [1]. Hypernotation is a new idea of publishing structured data on the Web

I invite you to visit http://hypernotation.org and see the examples from the DBpedia dataset [2] on the homepage, as well as browse the DBpedia data [3].

Vuk,

You are missing the whole point of Linked Data, unfortunately.

Linked Data is simply about using Hypermedia as a vehicle for Structured Data Representation. Net effects of publishing such resources:

1. Names (generic URIs) resolve to their description (descriptor) documents - > 1 level of indirection en rout to powerful abstraction that enables exploitation of important matters like "equivalence fidelity" where two entities can be deemed equivalent by Name (URI) e.g., owl:sameAs or Values for properties of specific relations e.g., owl:inverseFunctionalProperty

2. Document Addresses (URLs) resolve actual description (descriptor) documents - 1 level of indirection .

Put differently, URIs and URLs become powerful Data Source Name and Address mechanisms akin to patterns used by more platform constrained approaches such as: ODBC (x.500 names) and JDBC (URLs).

RDF != Linked Data. You have some issues with RDF and in the process you are hitting the "throwing baby out with bath water" problem etc..

If what you are doing is contrary to what I am claiming, you can refute me quite easily by providing a solution that delivers on the above without requiring changes to existing Web Browsers and Web Servers. You would also be able to make better demos that what I've been publishing since Linked Data bootstrap in 2007. In short, you should be able to trump my Google Spreadsheet and Linked Data demos, pronto .
