It could save some time if it was restarted automatically with a crontab entry.
For local instance of lookup, I wrote bash script runLookup.sh :

> export M2=$M2_HOME/bin
> export PATH=$PATH:$M2
> cd [lookup/install/dir]
> cmdVirt="mvn scala:run"
> ${cmdVirt}
and a contab entry:
> * * * * * pgrep -fx '[path/to]/runLookup.sh' >
> [path/to/logs]/cron_LU.log 2> [path/to/logs] /cron_LU.err ||
> [path/to] /runLookup.sh >> [path/to/logs] /LU.log
