Hi All,
I am aspirant for GSoc,2013 and would like to discuss some of the ideas
regarding Dbpedia Spotlight. I had used this service last summer during my
internship for annotating social media feeds. I usually code in Java and
python. Since the annotation are mainly from Wikipedia, the service was not
very helpful for personalized annotation. I would like to build an
interface to the users by which they can add their own entities set and
its corresponding links, with support to inheritance and over-writing of
existing data. We could then perhaps work on similar way as Twarql for
better concept recognition and annotation.
I would be very grateful if someone could suggest the usefulness
or feasibility of idea so that I can rectify my mistakes and come up with
better ideas.
