Hello everyone,
I am senior undergraduate of department of Computer Science Engineering,
Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi, India. I am comfortable with C++,
Java and python.
I am really looking forward to the project "5.12. Deploying a DBpedia
Question Answering Engine".
I have been working on similar lines for my semester project. The idea-page
asks to follow up the work from previous year. The code from last year
https://github.com/dbpedia/DBpediaQA does not give any documentation for
the approach used.
I wish someone could clarify the following doubts:
[1] Is the QA system focussed on particular type of questions like Factoid
only or should include decision(boolean) , list and other type of questions
too?
[2] Are we allowed to use/extend the available code from existing research
projects like QANUS, QAKis etc, so as to make a custom and effective QA
system?
[3] Are we required to handle sentence length queries or verbose paragraph
length queries?
Presently, I am playing with Quepy and reading the listed research papers.
Do I also need to do some specialized warmup tasks pertaining to QA Engine
other than the ones listed on the extraction framework issues. Also, will
Scala be required for this project or python and java will suffice.
Thanks and Regards,
