You got an invite for slack, anyone else who wants one please ping me
regarding communication preferences,
you submit your application as a google doc in the system and google
encourages the use of comments for improving the the proposal
then we also have the slack #gsoc channel for things that need real time
communication and you can still use the ideas page.
we discourage the use of private communication (emails, chat, telcos) but
sometimes they are indeed necessary
So, once you submit your draft proposal in the system, ping your mentor(s)
and ask their preferred way of communication, this should be the easiest
(make sure you get the gdoc edit permissions right, the easiest is the
"anyone with the link can edit")
