Hi
I am interested in working on the ChatBot project. I only learnt about GSOC
2017 today so pardon me for not finishing the warmup exercises. I will get
to them in a couple of days after finishing my midterms.
Last year in my previous company I had to build a chatbot for Facebook

in the Indian Automotive domain which I feel is relevant to this task. The
ChatBot responds to both natural language queries (within the domain) as
well as structured interactions which can be leveraged through Messenger.
Since then, I moved to the US where I am doing my Masters in CS. Presently
I am researching on QALD (Question Answering over Linked Data) which ties
together NLP and Structured Knowledge Bases/Triplestores (like DbPedia) to
answer natural language questions while leveraging the specific knowledge
base. Primary applications of this could be ofcourse be ChatBots. I have
experience in DbPedia and SPARQL as well in case that is relevant and am
also learning NLP to aid me in my research.
I hope I am not too late to get started on this.
