Hello my dear friends,
My name is Raúl and I live in Spain. I'm an student of the first years of
University Degree in Computer Science and I am completing a Superior Grade
Formative Course in Software Development (speciality in Android and
multiplatform applications).
I have applied to collaborate with you in the idea "Aligning Life-Science
Ontologies to DBpedia".
I have make the final proposal skipping the draft part because of the lack
of time. I supposed that, sadly, we don't have time for that. I'm sorry for
not make a presentation earlier but I knew about this GSoC just a few days
ago.
I have made contact by the DBpedia Ideas Forum
<http://wiki.dbpedia.org/ideas/idea/392/aligning-life-science-ontologies-to-dbpedia/>
and I have done the four warm up task as you suggest. I have gone through
StackOverflow owl-api tag (and solid rock work of Ignazio) and the
different forks of the API in GitHub.
It has been a very interesting time while diving into the OWL API and all
the concepts related to aligning ontologies and I look forward to keep
working on it.
I would like to have an invitation as guest for the Slack channel to have
the opportunity to do some proper contact with the community in charge of
this amazing project :)
Finally I want to wish luck to all the applicants of this year and a warm
thank you to all people involved in manage the GSoC 2017.
Best Regards.
Raúl JM
