Hello contributors!
I am Aman, a Data Science and Linguistics enthusiast from International
Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H). I am looking
forward to contribute to DBpedia as a GSoC project during summer 2018.
I am currently working on a research project under Dr. Kamal Karlapalem
<https://scholar.google.co.in/citations?user=bEZqpLsAAAAJ> about building
an automatic question answering system. I have read a lot of research
papers up and around QA. I also have a very thorough idea about how quering
and extraction works on KBs such as Yago.
Apart from this project I have completed several large and complex CS
projects. I have worked on several machine learning projects, which
involved feature training, sentiment analysis, clustering and building
models using supervised and unsupervised learning. I have worked on
word2vec and word embeddings such as CBoW and skip-grams. Apart from this,
I have made notable contributions to MT at Apertium last year.
I feel, I would really enjoy working with DBpedia for a summer as a GSoC
project and hence I wanted to know more about project ideas for 2018, so
that I could get my hands dirty on one project that I find interesting,
before my application.
Looking forward to hearing from you, positively.
Regards,
Aman Mehta,
IIIT-H,
India
