After taking the send-credit patch out of the test tree, I performed successful test runs on two different days/revisions of the netdev tree: problem seems fixed.
With the simple bi-directional TBF filter, the throughput with CCID3 is about 920 ... 950 Kbps when running for 20 seconds. There is one observation regarding the byte-blast mode of iperf: I found that this overran the queue and frequently got messages such as below -- if anyone would like to use the calculator on this, feel free, but in all cases it was due to * P.seqno > S.SWH and * P.ackno does not exist (DATA packet) I also got complaints about `bogus Acks' (CCID3), likely due to the same problem.
