Brian C. Dilley commented on DDLUTILS-207:
------------------------------------------

I saw that, but it wasn't an full featured as i like (or at least the small
amount of research that i did didn't expose it as such). Another thing that
turned me off was the "based on ant" part, what does ant have to do with it?
The plugin i wrote supports the following goals and is just plain old maven2
mojos directly using the DDLUtils API to do the following:

ddlutils:create

    * create a database

ddlutils:drop

    * drop a database

ddlutils:schema

    * create's a database schema from a ddlutils/tourque xml file

ddlutils:alter

    * alters a database schema from a ddlutils/tourque xml file

ddlutils:dumpschema

    * dumps a schema from an existing database to a ddlutils/torque xml file

My need was for a more full featured project life-cycle plugin. Something that
could create a database, and maintain it ongoing. If the other plugin did
this, then woah... i feel stupid for writing this :)
