It sounds like you do have part of the "8/28/68 Avalon" tape. The
current entry that is now online say that 8/20/68 is the most likely to
be the real date for this recording, but other Fillmore Wast shows such
as 8/30, 8/31, 9/1, and 11/7,8,9,10/68 are just as possible. I'd rule
out 12/31/68 even though it was a Bill Graham show because TC was in the
band at that point and he's not on this tape. I'd say that its unlikely
that its from one of the other 6/14,15/68 Fillmore East shows because
this just sounds as though its from later in the year.

I'm pretty sure that this is actually a SBD even though it sounds kind
of like an aud. I'm thinking it is another one like the "1/27/67"
compilation tape where it traces back to a copy made with a microphone
or a built in condencer mic. I remember making copies of albums like
that as a teenager - play the record on a stereo, place you portable
cassette deck near the speakers to record with the built in mic, and
tell everyone to stay quiet.
