I have always been curious about the actual sound
of the Woodstock CD I have. It appears to be a soundboard recording but the drop
outs & ins of varoius vocals and instruments plus the weedy backround noise
make me think that this is the way the master tape is. Is this due to the
technical re-arrangements by the Dead crew [combined with bad weather]? If so,
then it is no wonder that [1] the Dead consider it their worst concert & [2]
no part of it has ever been officially released.
What do you think?
