Could it be the original poster meant Ferrante and Teicher, the original twin-piano martini-music guys? If the admin wanted to book them but instead got the Dead, I could see where sparks could fly. (An aside here, though: Art Ferrante is/was a pretty cool dude and a fine piano player. I knew him when he owned a house in Shreveport, a hoem my cousin now owns. Ferrante married a Shreveprot woman and used to spend a lot of time here... in the late '50s they played a lot at the Florentine Club, a sort of the Left Bank-ish nightspot that later turned into one of the city's more flamboyant gay nightclubs.)
