08/22/68: Please help, totally confused!!

Hi Folks   I have a bit of a dilemma on my hands. I also know that the question of 08/22/68 has been flogged to death.   The basic synopsis is this.   I have two copies of 08/22/68.   1) The "real" version up to New Potato Caboose   2) The "fake" version   The problem is this.   On the "real" copy there is an Alligator segment that does match the Deadlists entry. It basically goes thus   Alligator (3:27)> Drums (0:28)> @ 28 seconds the organ is heard to come back in @40 seconds guitar comes back in   They jam   Near the end it sounds as though they are going into some feedback. This then ends and Bobby steps up to the muc saying "thank you".   I've compared this to all versions of Alligator that are in circulation from 68 and it doesn't match any of them.   The question begs, where is it from?   Next query.   The "fake" version that I acquired sometime ago has a sequence of songs on it that DOES match the listing for 08/22/68. The timings are not exact, just a few seconds here and there.   Does this belong with my "real" copy of 08/22/68?   If someone can please enlighten me as to what in the heck is going on I'd appreciate it   Thanks   Jools
