I should -- what's the opposite of throwing one's hat in the ring? -- I guess I should remove my hat from the ring and finally and reluctantly resign as the 'pre dead' caretaker. Spread thin, I just find that keeping up with my duties here gets pushed farther and farther down towards the musty and moldering bottom of my to-do list.
I've got quite a lot of collected-but-uncompiled data that I can forward to whoever stands tall and replaces me.
