A strong argument could be made for including some of the Grateful Dead's successors on this site. If they are not included, we should be equally sure not to have the Harbeats shows from '68, for example, nor other Dead offshoots in the '65-'95 years. Many bands do continue with personnel changes (duh! Pigpen, anyone? :(
As far as music goes, the first incarnation of The Other Ones, and now the Dead, do play good music, much better than nearly everything currently out there. Let's not forget our own arguments in past years that the (Grateful) Dead were but a pale shadow of their former selves.
