I'm writing in reference to the "Two Soldiers Jam" which was performed on 9/22/87, 9/12/90, and 3/17/93.
I have 9/22/87 and 3/17/93 on CDR, and I've listened to them many times. I also have most of the Garcia/Grisman
catalog, including Garcia/Grisman and Shady Grove. Here's the thing: Though I always see that jam listed as "Two
Soldiers" on your site and others (including DeadBase), I am positive that it is not "Two Soldiers," but rather "The
Handsome Cabin Boy." Everyone for whom I have played the two songs and the jam agrees with me on this.
When you have the time, could you please give the two songs and the jam a listen to see if I am correct? I hesitated
to email you about this, since there seems to be a consensus out there, but I strongly feel that it is mislabeled.
