hey hey guys, I'm currently writing a piece documenting the history of
Viola Lee Blues to be published on Wednesday on my blog
(www.thedeadvault.net). I've got some info on the original recordings
(by Cannon's Jug Stompers), the '66 studio rehearsals, first and last
shows it was performed at, as well as the breakout shows when Phil
brought it back after 30 years, what I'm currently looking for are some
exceptional versions by the Dead between '66 and '70... What are your
favorite versions of Viola Lee Blues? What are the most noteworthy??
