Dear All, First the disclaimer: I'm new to dealII and I would like to appeal to your experience with the library for advice to tackle the following type of problems.
I'm interested in working on free boundary problems, in particular where there is a bulk mesh that interacts with it's boundary through some PDE, a typical example are fluid-membrane interaction or shape optimization problems. For the methods I like to try I need somehow the following facilities: -Given a dim_of_world mesh be able to extract a co-dimension 1 boundary mesh -These two meshes (volume and surface) are to remain conforming. If one gets refined the other should be also consistently refined and synchronized when moved. -The ability to trace a bulk fe_function to the boundary and viceversa. I would appreciate if you have worked on something similar and could give me some pointer.
