All,
I would like to take the opportunity to thank all those who have contributed
to this release (which has more than 50,000 lines of code more than the
previous one)!

Most of all, this includes Timo Heister and Martin Kronbichler, who have
really given their lifeblood in making the support for massively parallel
computing happen! Carsten Burstedde has also contributed a lot by answering
questions on the p4est library upon which our implementation is based.

Markus Buerg has contributed the Nedelec elements of arbitrary order. He has
also added and fixed a good number of other thins throughout the library.

Sebastian Pauletti, Andrea Bonito and Luca Heltai have helped significantly
improve support for discretizing equations on manifold and writing step-38.
Sebastian in particular has been outstanding in writing small testcases that
show individual bugs and that make it so much simpler finding out what is
going wrong.

Martin Steigemann has written the graphical user interface to the
ParameterHandler class.

Andrew McBride has provided support for symmetric tensors to the
FEValuesExtractors framework.

Many others -- too many to name -- have contributed small improvements, bug
fixes, and helped test on platforms we don't have access to. A complete list
of changes and authors can be found here:

Thanks to all who have contributed!
Best
 Wolfgang
