Hello Yan,
as far as I know, this is not possible. Therefore you have to create two
triangulations, one for 2D and one for 1D.

Greetings!
I am very interested in using the deal.ii code for the geophysical
modelling. I was wondering whether it is possible to mix 2D and 1D
elements in the same domain (I would say yes from what I read about
deal.ii, but I am not sure)? I am particularly interested in modelling
the Darcy flow inside a porous matrix (of low permebility) that
contains some fractures in it (of high permebility). Can I include
fractures as 1D line elements in a 2D porous domain? And if yes, would
I be able to model a cemented fracture, i.e. it would have a zero
permeability and there will be no flow across the fracture?
Thank you,
Yan
