But I allocated more than 500 Gb RAN !!

How does this sparsity_pattern.reinit work? 
Does it first calculate the required memory and compares it with available 
one and then if it is not enough returns error?
OR
it starts to allocate and when it faces the memory shortage it returns the 
error?
