Philip,

I am starting to get into numerical grid generation. I am not attempting to
create my own algorithms for mesh generating but rather, I would like to know
enough that I can use other developer's code and have a rough idea of what is
going.

So, I was wondering if anyone on the forum could recommend some materials for
me to look at whether it be books or youtube videos or conference papers.
Right now, I am looking at Numerical Grid Generation by Joe F Thompson and a
NASA publication on Numerical Grid Generation Techniques
(http://ntrs.nasa.gov/archive/nasa/casi.ntrs.nasa.gov/19810006176.pdf)

Have you looked at the manual and papers that come with the gmsh software? That's one of the points I'd start with.

(As a side question, is Numerical Grid Generation and Mesh generation that
same? It seems to be used interchangeably)

I think most people in the community would agree with this.

Best
 W.
