Thanks for your reply. 

Candi looks like a good option to use to install all the libraries. 
However, I also need mumps which Petsc installs for me when I install 
libraries separately.
I looked at the cdf file. It says that it installs Petsc, trilinos, slepc 
and other libraries.

Can candi install mumps along with petsc ?

Also, I faced a problem using examples after installing dealii. I am making 
a new post for that as that is not related this issue. 
If I am able to solve this error, I will post the solution here.
