You should try to make the mesh as coarse as possible and then look if all the cells look good. I don't remember exactly what this error means but the name of the function that throws, I am going to assume that the ordering of the vertices is not consistent. Can you load the two meshes separately? If not, looking at the one which doesn't work could give you an indication on what is happening.
