candi is now hosted additionally as a official deal.II github repository:
  https://github.com/dealii/candi

Indeed, the documentation on the website for candi is still not there. (I 
did not find the time to contribute in this).

Thanks for the credit. That's the reason why candi is still there and get 
updates.
If you have checked out the current version, you may have noticed that we 
have worked hard on it to make it as easy to use and flexible as possible.
