Thank you wolfgang, thank you Bruno. I appreciate your input! I did look through the settings of the cmake by running make VERBOSE=1. And I did notice that the compiler/linker that was running was v6 of gcc. In my IDE, it is running v4.9. A quick change to v6 was able to solve my issue
